How to Distribute Srila Prabhuapda's Books Part 2
The Ambassador of Goodwill: Srila Prabhuapda, the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness traveled from India in 1965 to the USA from India. But he was not like his contemporary Indian travelers who generally travel West to make money. Srila Prabhupada did not come to America to make money. He came to the USA as an \"Ambassador of Good Will."Srila Prabhuapda came with the great gift of Krishna consciousness. As book distributors we should have the same mood. Book distribution is not for making money. Book distribution is to give others Krishna. We have to see each person as a spirit soul and should not put anyone into difficulty. Hare Krishna book distributors need to be "Ambassadors of Goodwill." But we should disturb ourselves. The hard part of going out on sankirtan is going out. But once we are out on sankirtana we feel like we are back home. A group of new devotees were going out on book distribution from ISKCON Silicon Valley Devotee. They go out every weekend on the Hare Krishna "Weekend Warriors" program. What is the goal of Hare Krishna Book distribution. To sell books? No. To leave everyone with a good impression of the Hare Krishna movement. The people should feel that Hare Krishna devotees are good people. They should feel happy to meet us. The main thing is to go out on Sankirtana, you will see miracles will happen. And it is important to share this good news with the other devotees... We go out to meet people and let them feel they have met someone of substance, someone nice... We do the best we can to leave everyone with a good feeling. We go out as "Ambassadors of Goodwill" to make people feel happy...

He wrote the Mahabharata as an introductionary book. It is a page turner. Sukadeva Goswami spoke on the philosophy only to benefit others. Srila Prabhupada came to America and asked us to distribute his books. The only point of the ISKCON temples is they are centers for distributing Srila Prabhupada's books. The temples may come and go. But Srila Prabhuapda's books will stay.

And, \"Where there is a will there is a way.\" If you desire to do something strongly enough you will figure out a way to do it. Srila Prabhuapda wanted to come to America to preach so he begged passage on a steamship. That was a very innovative thing to do. Srila Prabhupada\'s will was so strong that nothing could stop him. So if we want to be successful at book distribution and developing a team then we simply have to have a strong desire. There will be obstacles. When you go on sankirtan you will meet many obstacles. But when we have a strong will we don\'t see those obstacles as stumbling blocks. We simply see them as opportunities for a new innovation. Krishna is showing us how to learn something new...

So much so that a vote taken at the end of the debate by all the devotees present almost unanimously agreed that the evidence presented in this debate by Rupa Vilas Prabhu, Karanamrta Prabhu, Yasoda Nandana Prabhu, and others, was substantial, and that this matter should be taken up very seriously for further consideration in ISKCON.</p> <p>Mysteriously this video was never released and since this debate there has not been any serious discussion of Srila Prabhuapda's clear instructions in regard to how disciples would be initiated in ISKCON after he was no longer physically present.</p>
