It is a very fair and factual account of the activities of the International Society for Krishna Conciousness's activities in Germany in the 1970s.
We see the daily activities of the German devotees in the temple as well as their preaching activities including the distribution of Srila Prabhupada's books and Sankirtana, the congregational chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra in the streets of Germany's cities.
Fortunately, or by Krishna's arrangement, while the television crew were shooting this documentary Srila Prabhupada visited Germany and we see him preaching and initiating new devotees at the German farm.
The documentary also covers the controversies hanging over the German yatra at that time. The German government were very much against the Hare Krishna Movement, and they tried in many ways to stop its progress in Germany. There were many scandals, most with no substance at all, being promoted by the German newspapers and television, all aimed at turning the public against the Hare Krishnas.

There was a world-wide protest against this treatment of the Russian Hare Krishnas and Mikhail Gorbachev freed the Russian devotees from the prisons and psychiatric hospitals.
