Due to the presence of many saintly persons the area has been sanctified and is a very peaceful place for contemplation and yoga. However the advanced devotees are not happy to sit comfortably in the Himalayan mountains and work only for there personal spiritual elevation. No. The great devotees feel compassion for the people in general and they go to the busiest places, the big cities, because it is in the big cities they have the chance to speak to the most people about Krishna.
