There was a time in India where all dramatic performances and all songs and dances were performed to enact the pastimes and to glorify and worship the Supreme Lord. This is the proper use of our tendency to perform dramas and sing and dance. Everything can be dovetailed in the service of Krishna. However, unfortunately, influenced by Broadway and Hollywood, India has transformed the purpose of their entertainment from the glorification of the Supreme Lord to trying to satisfy the sensual demands of the general population. This is a great misuse of the dramatic and artistic talents of the Indian people.
