Indian Village Life

India

Traditionally most of the Indian population lived in self-sufficient rural villages. Each man had some land and he could produce his needs from the land and cows. This simple village life is most suitable for the development of spritual life. So the Krishna consciousness movement is very interested in reestablishing simple villages where devotees can live a life centered around serving Krishna, chanting Hare Krishna, where they can depend on Krishna to provide their needs through the land, cows and grains.
