Around mid 90s after many ISKCON gurus had fallen down it became fashionable in ISKCON that any devotee who had even the slightest physical association with Srila Prabhupada would be elevated to a high position and address the devotees on his or her Prabhupada memories. Unfortunately many devotees do not have good memories and the result of relying on the faulty memories of Prabhupada's mostly fallen disciples rather than hearing directly from Srila Prabhupada by reading his books and listening to his classes has resulted in a generation of ISKCON devotees who have no idea at all what Srila Prabhupada is teaching us or what Krishna consciousness is.
