If a priest of the church deviates and falls down it is not an issue, Christians do not worship priests. The fallen priest is replaced. When in the Hare Krishna religion a guru falls down this is a completely different issue. The guru is seen as the direct representative of God, transparent via media to God, God speaks through the guru. The guru demands to be worshiped as good as God. When a Hare Krishna guru turns out to be a charlatan it makes the whole movement look like a criminal bogus organization.
