The chosen 11 didn't let HH Goura Govinda Swami initiate until 1986 even though he was on the highest devotional platform. Some godbrothers had to lobby for him to be allowed to initiate in Bhubaneshwar.

Gaura Govinda Swami was authorize to initiate in 1984 along with Bhakti Tirtha Swami, Jagadish Goswami and Agrani Swami.
