When a religion states that it is special, and that it is the only path to heaven, and especially that all other paths are 'devil worship'..this happens.
Imagine being so blind as to think that any tradition made in honour of God can be 'wrong', or that the faith born in a person's heart can be false.
All 3 abrahamic religions are like this. Communism is a similar ideology, but God is replaced with moral virtue.
