I attended this wedding. Bali Mardan was a sannyasi renunciate, but somehow wanted to marry this woman who was supposed to be heir to the Toyota family fortune. It was a sort of falldown, since a sannyasi is not supposed to marry or have any dealings with women. The wedding was in Los Angeles, but they moved to New York and lived in the temple. After a while it became clear that they were preparing non vegetarian food in their apartment, which is forbidden in the Krishna temple. Some temple residents left in protest, and others remained to keep the temple running. But at the time of the wedding, as seen here, there were high hopes of capturing some grand fortune by marrying this woman. Too bad the whole pretext of the wedding was a fraud.

@KrishnasDevotionHub I don't know any details. I was in LA, and whatever bits and pieces I heard from the grapevine is all I know. There was a controversy about what to do about the situation, and whether Srila Prabhupada was pleased or displeased if one left the temple, or stayed on. I heard that Prabhupada appreciated both decisions. But, all of this I heard second-hand.
