Dragoslav Ramic 1 year agoShe was rather "Miss Noyota," e.g. nothing of a Toyota ... The incident if very nicely told in the Šri Šri Radha-Damodar Vilas - Volume 2, by Vaiyasaki Prabhu, somewhere in the second half of the book, as I recall between pages 400 and 500.

Paul McCloud 1 year agoI attended this wedding. Bali Mardan was a sannyasi renunciate, but somehow wanted to marry this woman who was supposed to be heir to the Toyota family fortune. It was a sort of falldown, since a sannyasi is not supposed to marry or have any dealings with women. The wedding was in Los Angeles, but they moved to New York and lived in the temple. After a while it became clear that they were preparing non vegetarian food in their apartment, which is forbidden in the Krishna temple. Some temple residents left in protest, and others remained to keep the temple running. But at the time of the wedding, as seen here, there were high hopes of capturing some grand fortune by marrying this woman. Too bad the whole pretext of the wedding was a fraud.
Paul McCloud 1 year ago@KrishnasDevotionHub I don't know any details. I was in LA, and whatever bits and pieces I heard from the grapevine is all I know. There was a controversy about what to do about the situation, and whether Srila Prabhupada was pleased or displeased if one left the temple, or stayed on. I heard that Prabhupada appreciated both decisions. But, all of this I heard second-hand.
Claire Horsfall 1 year agoNothing positive to say. Just finding faults. Better Bali Mardan took up Grhastas Ashram as Srila Prabhupada mentioned. Many times if 1 can't maintain the Sannyasa Order he can get married. Hare krsna Bali Mardan Spread K.Conscious in Australia. Immediately after Srila Prabhupada requested him to Preach in Australasia
Mayank Sharma 1 year agoI think they broke some regulative principles too. In the temple, they used to order Pizza and one time, a pizza with eggs was delivered to the temple and Prabhupāda didn't like it.
