It's just the way they presented themselves to the people there, chanting shree krishna's name is fine but when they surrounded and bowed down to prabhupada sitting on the high seat in the middle, it apparently projects himself as someone high which is the last thing you want as a guru. Even as a devout Hindu myself I thought what's going on.
