In ISKCON Bangalore group of temples, the diksha is given in Srila Prabhupada's name, that is the Guru is Srila Prabhupada only. The Japa Mala is given to the new devotees by the senior devotees of the temple in front of Srila Prabhupad's Pratishta Murti.
