Since Srila Prabhupada left our material vision in 1977 ISKCON has had a serious problem with its gurus. Initially they claimed Prabhupada appointed 11 successors, which was a lie and they openly admit that, and almost all of the 11 so-called acharyas have now fallen away from spiritual life or died or both. It has just been one problem and controversy after another leading to the shattering of the hearts of the disciples who were foolish enough to surrender to these bogus gurus, accepting them to be as good as God, even though obviously they weren't... In September of 1986 it was announced to the Australian devotees that their guru, Bhavananda, had fallen down and was no longer a bona fide spiritual master. This is the announcement made by Tamal Krishna Goswami and Bhagavan Goswami at the New Govardhan Australian Hare Krishna Farm. This was the start of a string of falldowns from ISKCON's 'good as God' gurus. Bhagavan Goswami, who you see in this video, would fall down himself a few months later also.
