In 1983 Australia's ABC National News covers Bhavananda arriving to inspect the new Sydney Kings Cross temple.
"Srila Visnupada, the second of the movement's world leaders since its founding was greeted in traditional fashion at the center in Darlinghurst.
The marble floored temple took six months to complete and it and its solid silver throne will serve Sydney's Hare Krishna community although it won't be open officially until next week, the movements fifteenth anniversary in Australia.
Today Visnupada took part in temple ceremonies to create the right atmosphere.
