The 1980s was a turbulent decade for the Hare Krishna Movement in America.
There was a lot of bad publicity, some caused by overly enthusiastic book distribution techniques in the airports and some caused by a a court case brought by the students of ISKCON's schools.
So the book distribution suffered.
In 1987 a group of young Hare Krishna devotees decided to start distributing Prabhupada's books to the general public again.
Their experience is very uplifting and ecstatic and they share some of that with us in this video.
