I was in Prbhupadas room 2 weeks before His departure slong with 4/5 businessmen supprters and the discusion was on future gurus. Finally Prabhupada said ...no one is qualified...i have to make best use of a bad bargain....ultimately it is Lord Chaitanya's Movement...
Thats all in need to know that these so called self appointed gurus are false. They are the cause of hundreds of disciples/godbrothers/sisters who left or were driven out.
If Prabhupada's assets, his disciples were kept together, can you imagine how Mahaprabhu's movement would have grown.
This false guru issue is the only cause of Iskcon's problems
How I want to jump inside my phone into this time when I was there. I can feel the bliss of the devotees despite the time that's gone by, and I'm a world away. Hare Krsna! Haribol! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Interesting how it ended~ she was spiritually advanced enough to see through the hypocrisy and so decided to leave~ and this was before the “guru” who was basically imitating Prabhupada’s actions without being qualified, finally humbled himself and stopped pretending, leaving his big position.
Cool! Very ecstatic. And it’s how kirtans should go, naturally and gradually getting more blissful as devotees chanting slowly enter into the Holy Names
This is so wonderful to see! I have such a deep personal connection with all of this! I had been given a mix-tape of George's more directly Krishna Conscious songs when I was 16. I listened to it all the time! I also used to listen to this Laksmi Shankar recording when I was younger. I got my first job working under Mukunda Goswami in DC making videos about Hare Krishna Today. Then I met Prithu Prabhu at a Rainbow Gathering, and later went to Vrindavan with one of his disciples in 2004, where we stayed at Prabhupada-Vani asrama, which is just on the other side of the wall shown here in the video of the walled dirt path they were walking in. I entered the Krishna Balarama temple through the same doors, and stood in front of the same gift-shop desk. I sat in the same seat in Srila Prabhupada's samadhi. I later became friends with Shyamasundar and Gurudas, Yamuna and the rest. I listen to George all the time now, along with Srila Prabhupada of course. I love how Krishna is so personal and loving and kind and generous and miraculous all at once.
Srila Prabhupada had a look on his lotus face that said, fine my beloved disciple , YOU deal with your gruff bigoted countrymen instead of me, you're doing great, have at it so I don't waste my energy. And that disciple (I've forgotten his name) did wonderfully. He has a warrior spirit.
