Children should stay with their parents and just go to regular school or be home schooled by parents! Religion should never be forced on a child they should be introduced at a age where they can decide if it's what they want! Teenage years I'd say. -

Nobody will love your children the way you do. I can't believe people were willing to send their children to these schools even AFTER the abuses were revealed. Bad parenting. The parents are just as guilty. Even in the beginning, before abuses were revealed, who sends 5 year olds to boarding schools? Really. What is wrong with people? ISKCON Ritvik Debate San Diego - early 1990sReplying to Aaron MontielOpposing team got bodied, Ritvik is what Srila Prabhupada wanted.... 11 years ago when I met ISKCON I read Srila Prabhupadas books, and got convinced with the philosophy, couldn't find a hole or an unanswered question in all of His books, conversations and letters. I never met any of these 'gurus' anytime they would come to the temple I wouldn't go (I'm in Latin America). So I wanted to take things more serious, start to live with devotees and get initiated but I was told by other initiated devotees that I couldn't accept His Divine Grace because he is not alive, instead I should accept a 'guru' that is alive. So illogical to me because I understood you would surrender your life to your Guru and I felt Srila Prabhupada was my guru because everything is in his books, and his instruction is alive. So I decided to leave and not come back because it didn't make sense to accept a person that didn't benefit my life in any way, or showed me the path... It's so unmotivating, but I'm glad to see this and other people come out with the same thoughts, at that time I really felt like I was crazy.You don't need to follow any of these false gurus just chant follow the principals and read Prahbupads books! Krishna conscience movement belongs to Prahbupad not these false rascals that have ruined the movement

Srila Prabhupada Vyasa Puja New Vrindavan 1973 -- With Ecstatic Visnujana Kirtan -- 1080p HDMy Father worked at the machine shop at New vrindavan so as a kid I spent a lot of time hanging out with devotees and their kids! I was always treated well and ate my fair share of presadam. I still have my original Bhagavad Gita I was given a long with my original copy of teachings of lord Chaitanya. I still to this day visit new vrindavan as I only live 20 minutes away. I was also around in the bad times when Bahktipahda got arrested and the murders happened. I felt so bad for the devotees who gave their all to make new vrindavan a special place!! It's really nice now anyone should visit in the summer and see the beauty for themselves -
