Russian government official praises Hare Krishna Food For Life for the help they provided the people during the Chechenia war in the 1990s, providing the people with food when they needed it desperately and also for providing spiritual inspiration.
This is during the Second Chechen War which affected the North Caucasus, mainly Chechnya and Dagestan and Parts of Georgia.
