It's absolutely senseless to assume that 4ever, there's none qualified to become a guru after Srila Prabhupad's departure. It's so absurd and ridiculous! Your so-called love for Srila Prabhupad becomes nil when you think that, he, Srila Prabhupad was not powerful enough to make just a single devotee fit to be a guru. I'll like to debate any ritvik on this senseless topic. It makes no sense, and it's not scriptural either! Shalom!!!

Rupa Vilasa is trying to twist everything......That piece of evidence from SP is all we need to go about as it is clear, definite, coherent with the traditional vaishnava's precepts, etc...etc...In the philosophy of Vaishnavism not acarya will ever declare himself the last of the acarya as it is contradictory to the sacred principle of guru-parampara which SP always said it is our system. Rtivik means "only during the physical presence of the guru " the disciple is authorized to perform the fire sacrifice and give initiation. After the guru disappearance the disciple can accept disciples on his own and take another level or kind of responsibility in the preaching field. He doesn't have to be a pure devotee but a devotee capable to present scientifically the philosophy and he must have a good character. Those are the qualifications presented by Lord Caitanya Himself.
