Vaishasheka Prabhu discusses methods of book distribution apart from the traditional method of standing on the street and stopping the people and selling them books.
He describes "Smart Boxes" and "Smart Tables", which are unattended displays of books put in places like temples and shops where there are books with prices on them and a box for the people to put the money in to pay for the books.
And the devotees who have experimented with these Smart Boxes and Smart Tables have found that Srila Prabhupada's books sell very well in this way, and that people do pay for them by putting the cost of the books in the money box.
Vaishasheka also describes book tables including one devotee at New Dwarka, Los Angeles temple who sell $17,000 worth of books every year just by setting up a book table at the temple entrance at the Sunday Feast.
That is around $350 in book sales every Sunday in just a few hours.
