tulayama lavenapi 10 months agoWhat is real happiness? Everyone is searching after happiness, but we do not know what real happiness is.
Real happiness depends on our consciousness. Like a stone cannot have developed consciousness to know what is real happiness. A stone (even a rolling stone) has undeveloped consciousness. It cannot enjoy the senses. Just like imagine how a tree is standing on the road, or on the path.
But suppose a human being is asked to stand for even 3 days on the road or on a path or in the forest? They are not able to tolerate that situation. The conclusion is that every living entity feels happiness or distress according to their development of consciousness. The tree may enjoy the happiness of the cold the wind the snow the rain the constant sun, but that sort of happiness a human with higher consciousness cannot enjoy. Animals have no developed sense of enjoyment. So one has to use their intelligence.
The example is there that one animal is being slaughtered, but the next animal has no sense that he is going to be slaughtered as well.
So humans are thinking they are happy, but the next moment they can be miserable. One has to be intelligent to enjoy nicely.
Take the example also of a dead man. The senses for enjoyment are all there; the hands, the nose, the legs, the eyes, and the ears, but the dead body cannot enjoy.
This requires intelligence to understand why the dead body does not enjoy. All the sense organs are there, but the human cannot enjoy. That requires higher intelligence. With intelligence we can understand that the soul has gone away, and therefore the senses of the body cannot enjoy. And if you use your intelligence further, you can understand that the body never did enjoy! It was always the spirit soul that was experiencing enjoyment.
The real enjoyer is that small spiritual spark. Again,
this requires a little intelligence. The dead body cannot enjoy anymore.
