Dhruva is a devotee born in ISKCON and educated at the Mayapur Gurukul. During his youth he was exposed to and engaged in the worship of the Nrsimhadeva deity in Mayapur and he developed a strong attachment to the Lord in this form.
Lord Nrsimhadeva is a very angry form of the Lord. He appeared as a half-man, half-lion when a demonic king, Hiranyakasipu, was just about to kill his devotee son Prahlada Maharaja. Lord Krishna appears whenever there is a need to protect His devotees and to kill the demons.
Actually the Lord appears more to protect His devotees than for killing the demos. For killing the demons actually He does not need to appear. But when His devotees are in danger, then the Lord appears immediately to protect His devotees and to kill the demons who are harassing His devotees.
Anyhow, in this very amazing film produced by ITV, we are guided by a young Dhruva to many of the ancient temples of Lord Nrsimhadeva. It is a very wonderful film, now for the first time presented in high definition 1080p video.
