Krishna Consciousness is not sentiment, it is science.
Sentiment has no value, there is sentiment there, this child, he is dancing.
In the beginning of Srimad-Bhagavatam it is said that the cheating religious sentimentalism is kicked out.
There is no place for it in the Srimad-Bhagavatam.
The sentimentalism is not in the Srimad-Bhagavatam.
It is a science, a very confidential science.
To understand Krishna is not an ordinary thing, this truth is understandable through Krishna or through Krishna's representative.
In Bhagavad-Gita Krishna says "mad asyara", Mad-asraya means one who has taken the shelter of Krishna or one who has surrendered to Krishna without any reservation.
So this Bhakti-yoga can be learned when one takes fully shelter at the lotus feet of a Bhagavad-bhaktya.
You can not become a devotee independently without caring for your spiritual master.
You are singing every day "If the spiritual master is pleased then Bhagavan is pleased," but you do not understand the meaning.
In the ten offenses there is disobeying the order of the spiritual master and if a person blasphemes a person who is preaching Krishna consciousness all over the world then that is the greatest offense.
Do you know the meaning of that Sri guru charana Parma song? You sing this song, do you know the meaning? No.
If one is favored by guru then the path to cross over the nescience is clear and by the favor of guru one gets Krishna.
This is Bhagavad Bhakti yoga.
So one who has not attained this stage, that is not Bhakti yoga.
Bhakti is a kind of yoga, or the real yoga.
Topmost yoga system is Bhagavad Bhakti yoga and it begins, first of all, with surrender to guru.
The official initiation has no meaning, first thing is surrender to guru.
So to play tricks with guru, to become diplomat, this will not help.
You can get some other things material, but spiritual progress will be spoiled.
This Krishna consciousness movement is for spiritual enlightenment, not to get money.
The materialists, what do they want.
They want money, they want followers, beautiful wife.
But Caitanya Mahaprabhu refuses.
No.
I don't want to rule over somebody, I don't want nice beautiful wife, I don't even what liberation.
Prasanamana, always jubilant, that is spiritual life.
Not morose, always making some plans, that is materialism.
Prasanatama, this is spiritual life.
As soon as you actually come to spiritual life then you must be happy.
Krishna consciousness is a great science and it can be understood by surrendering to the spiritual master.
So first of all surrender.
Not that "I surrender," then later if you do not please me, if you do not satisfy my senses then, "I don't like you." No.
That is not surrender.
Bhaktivinoda Thakura gives the example of dog.
"My dear spiritual master please accept my as your dog," that is surrender.
One who executes devotional service taking shelter of genuine spiritual master, Krishna will never give him up.
Everything's there in Nectar of Devotion, Teachings of Lord Caitanya, Srimad-Bhagavatam.
If we do not understand, if we do not read the books, if we think we are advanced, then that will not work.
So if we are not serious about understanding the science of Krishna then everything is finished.
For opportunist there is no Krishna consciousness, it is for the real surrendered souls.
Without taking shelter of Krishna's servant it is not possible.
