However, Srila Prabhuapda brought the Lord of the Universe, Lord Jagannath to the West.
Prabhupada established the now famous "Festival of the Chariots," or Rahayatra Festival in many cities worldwide.

Jagannath Puri is the city of Lord Caitanya as when Lord Caitanya left his family life in Navadvipa his mother requested Him to make his headquaters in Puri rather than in Vrindavan.
She was thinking that Puri is quite close to Bengal so that if Nimai went to Puri she would still get regular news about Him from the many devotees who are always travelling between Puri and Bengal.
