  • German television decided to do a program on the Hare Krishna devotees in Berlin, Germany in 1973.
    At that time the Berlin ISKCON temple was a small storefront virtually in the red-light district of Berlin. Very good location in the sense that you could just walk out the door and distribute books and perform Harinama Sankirtana.
    This is a very amazing look into the life of the devotees and temple activities back in 1973 in ISKCON.
    The program is in German and we don't have any English translation, so probably best if you can understand German, but even if not, it makes very interesting viewing.

    Sabine Uddin 3 years agoOh Paramadweti Swami Ulrich Harland als er jung war . Schade ich hätte ihn gerne noch vorher als Hipi gesehen . Ich war 73 , 13 Jahre alt in Ostberlin und habe mich dafür interessiert , als ich das im Fernsehen sah .

              Krishna Tube 5 years agoHare Krishna Prabhu, yes, there are English subtitles for the 18 minutes of this program that appears in "Following Srila Prabhupada" DVD 5, which we will post the 1080p version here on Monday. So there will be English subtitles for that there. But this is 28 minutes, so it does not all appear in "Following Srila Prabhupada". Anyhow stay tuned for Following Srila Prabhupada DVD 5, which will include the English subtitles.
