I was taught as a small child to fear these people, this movement! I didn't believe that as an adult however I never came across any devotees, literature, information etc. So I just adopted an attitude of "hmm, strange... who knows ". Illness, aging etc brought me to an isolated spiritual path via utube and books. What a BEAUTIFUL MAN, TEACHING, Message. Much love and gratitude for this 🙏- thumb_up — 10

In the late 80's , out of a sense of inner desperation, I looked at the Devotees of Sri Krishna and Srila Prabhupada , ended up living at the ISKON in San Diego Mandir on Grand Ave , Pacific Beach . I was a live in bhakta, bhakta Phil . I kew well two devotees , in particular, with whom I shared the living space there - Muknda Swami , and Mahatma Swami . Srila Prabhupada's offering , in the path of Bhakti Yoga , was my introduction to much broader understanding of spirituality and religion. The Temple regimen of daily puja and mantra meditation I found very powerfull . There were weekly visits of Hari Nam dancing and chanting in the streets of downtown La Jolla at night . To Pranhupada's credit , the mantra meditation He introduced revealed to me a remaksble realization.... it really showed me , at a deep heartfelt level , that I am not the body, I somehow felt this deeply . I ended up living at the Mandir for a good two years. Thank you Kindly for the offering of film ... Winnie Spencer 3 years agoI absolutely LOVE Śrila Prabhupada. I’ve read many of his books and am continually reading them since I came to discover the Hare Krsna movement. He is my Guru—does that make me Ritvik? Anyway, I love him and am dedicated to him, his transcedental knowledge and love for Radha-Krsna. I pray that perhaps one day I will become a pure devotee as he is, and return home, back to Godhead. All glories to Śrila Prabhupada!- thumb_up — 9

What is bhakti, how to maintain peace, how to share food, how to take care of the needy , what is the purpose of life, practice of selflessness, love the living beings, how to be useful for the society and surrender to god after performing your duties.
