- Preaching
- ITV (ISKCON Television) released "Hare Krishna in the Movies" in the 90's. Since then there have been many more movies featuring the Hare Krishna devotees. So ITV have now remade the "Hare Krishna in the Movies" DVD and updated it with all the new movies. It is an amazing experience to watch this collection of Hollywood movies that feature the devotees of Krishna.

jyotirvakyananda Perry 1 year agoI know, right. Why not just treat devotees like “Monkeys on a Stick” while you are stone cold sober — especially if they threaten the financial windfalls of your ashram! Also — don’t use intoxicants yourself; but, it O.K. to sell it to Karmis and Jñanis because the are animals anyway — let them lose their souls. Just keep it out of our ashrams. And don’t forget to take good care of children in residential schools! They are vulnerable, isolated, and need the TLC of sober elders with their best interests at heart. We wouldn’t want to cause Prabhupada or any of the Gurus to breakdance in their graves because of our bad behavior — would we?- thumb_up — 1

Parth 9 months ago@jyotirvakyananda Hypocrisy is everywhere, politics, business, even religion. But that doesn’t make truth false. Judge Krishna-bhakti by Krishna, not by the ones who misused His name. Real devotees live what they preach. Blaming Krishna’s path for some people’s mistakes is like blaming medicine because a few doctors are corrupt. Truth remains truth. Hare Krishna 🙏

jyotirvakyananda Perry 1 year agoI know, right. America allows any religious tradition to flourish here. Even hypocritical denominations of White Christian Extremism! Why not just have a country where you can treat devotees like “Monkeys on a Stick” while you are stone cold sober — especially if they threaten the financial windfalls of your ashram! Also — don’t use intoxicants yourself; but, it O.K. to sell it to Karmis and Jñanis because the are animals anyway — let them lose their souls. Just keep it out of our ashrams. AZURE nz 5 years agoGreat stuff. There are two constant things in this universe.
1. The speed of light.
2. No matter what the calamity the Hari Krishna's will be there somewhere chanting.
I love that they appear in the movies as both the background or main part.- thumb_up — 18
