Stunning documentary on the origins of Prabhupada's Palace at New Vrindavan, Moundsville West Virginia. The devotees were building a house for Sriila Prabhupada to stay in when he visited the New Vrindavan farm community but unfortunatly, before the palace was completed, Srila Prabhupada left our material vision and went back home, back to Godhead, to his Lord and master Sri Krishna.
So, on the departure of Srila Prabhupada, the New Vrindavan devotees redoubled their efforts in building Prabhupada''s Palace, transforming it into a stunning memorial of the great life and teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
This documentary shows the devotees building Prabhupada's Palace and the huge impact it made on the local community of Moundsville and broader, the entire United States of America.

lenny108 3 years agoAs it stands today, it was all planned from the beginning to eventually turn the Palace of Gold into a for-profit tourist attraction. Six hundred monks and nuns were used to raise the money and after the construction was completed and paid for, they were driven away by outrageous staged scandals. And the new owners converted the whole thing into a hotel operation. Similar modus operandi in European countries and Australia.
