During the 1970s many Hare Krishna devotees, particularly in the United States were kidnapped from the ISKCON temples by deprogrammers like Ted Patrick and others who were paid by the devotee's parents to get their children to give up Krishna consciousness.

      Kulapriya Walford 2 years agoHare Krishna! Kulapriya dd here, 2024, still practicing KC to the best of my ability. Most of my devotional career has been outside of temples. i always feel a bit embarrassed when I see this video. I apologize that I did not start this life as a more compassionate, loving soul. Maybe none of this would have happened if I had been a better example of a devotee. Krsna did eventually bless me with 2 wonderful daughters, who also are aspiring devotees of Krsna, I feel so blessed and grateful. Also, I did reconcile with much of my family who offered apologies, before their departure from this world, for which I am ever so grateful. The process takes longer for some of us than others, depending on our starting point. Keep chanting Hare Krsna! All glories to Srila Prabhupada and all the devotees of the Supreme Lord!

We, participants of the AllatRa international public movement and volounteers of the Creative Society project are now faced with the 'descendants' of Ted Patrick's anticult views and peoples(RACIRS and FECRIS), but we are speaking up for our truth not to be suppressed and our rights not to be taken from us, therefore I'm carefully studying the people that make up this anticult movement and its origins, and this is what led me here to this video. Also its great to see how other peoples in the past have done the same and its great to learn from your Hare Krishna movement aswell. Thank you and have a great stay 🌱
