  • An art film made by "Georgio" showing a large group of hippies in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco on "Hippie Hill" in 1967. This was the time of "flower power" and anti-war protests. On this day, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and a few of his disciples attended and Srila Prabhupada lead kirtan (chanted Hare Krishna) all day. It is a truly amazing film showing the incredible power of the Hare Krishna maha mantra, even on the drug-crazed hippies of the 60's.

              William Benedict 5 years agoI was 17 then and could feel Prabhupada's presence in my heart but didn't get to meet him until two years later. These were the most mytical magical pure joyful times of our lives. We believed in the power of pure love.

To awaken from our dream in Vraja and then continue our Eternal Life directly with Krsna in the Highest Love possible to all souls.
