Mark Hill 4 years agothis is nonsense. the Bhagavad Gita was spoken by Shri Krishna who declared that He is Almighty God and that only through bhakti (loving, serving devotion to the Supreme Lord) can one attain salvation. So there is the almighty God and the livingbeings subordinate to him. Other so-called "translations" explain that all living beings are God and they just forgot it. (What kind of God is that, who forgets that he is God?) So in these pseudo-translations one denies that God is a person and interprets a philosophy of atheism. In the "Bhagavad Gita As It Is" of the Hare Krishna movement, every single Sanskrit word is translated, this book is also accepted in universities for Sanskrit study. First have courage to read other publications with their translations instead of your books that r highly mistranslated. You guys live in your own dream world. Your universities r accepting this just to dismantle our culture and create a division in hindu religion. Why your universities don't check other publication's bhagwad gita? Because your cult has lot of funding and power to market your fake gita. No one know in your country knows proper hindi, neither they can speak properly, so better don't argue. Hare krishana guys only know what they r infused in their brain by their fake gurus and to create nuisance in streets. - Tech Biker Arun 4 years ago@markhill7743 Don't worry I made her realized and pull her out, was difficult but I did it. Breaking away from family is not intelligance, its brainwashing. That family member knew how to read hindi so she realized when I compared translation. You people have no other source apart from gita translated by prabhupada, but we have various other sources, try to find out and check, don't just blindly believe anyone.

Its almost impossible to change your mindset as you r highly addicted to it but I can aware people closer to me. You do your job of spreading your so called spirituality and I will do mine. We both will die one day and no one will know who went to god. No human can interpret this if is doing, he is lying. All these great books will stay on earth with no scientific explanation.
- Mark Hill 4 years ago@kumararuny I see you've never read the BG. Bhakti yoga has nothing to do with secular religion. Here is a review from a very well known person: "I am most impressed with A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada’s scholarly and authoritative edition of Bhagavad-gita. It is a most valuable work for the scholar as well as the layman and is of great utility as a reference book as well as a textbook. I promptly recommend this edition to my students. It is a beautifully done book.”

Best is to learn new technologies and grow. Books r written by man and man use them for their own benefit.

4000dp 3 years agoI am sure Mukunda Goswami knows that very well. But, in order for the TV viewers to see the deities, that is probably the best angle to give the interview likely what the TV newscaster requested. I would focus my efforts in appreciating and showing our gratitude for the great contribution he has done/been doing to Prabhupada and for the Krishna Consciousness movement, and how brilliantly he answered the questions rather than nitpicking.- thumb_up — 7
Krishna Tube 4 years agoThere is nothing against reproduction in Krishna consciousness. But that is the only purpose of sex, reproduction. And it is only permitted in marriage, for the purpose of reproduction. The idea is that we are not these material bodies, and sex is the thing that most intimately entangles us with the bodily concept of life. If we are to advance spiritually we have to get off the bodily concept of life. And it is impossible to do this while we are engaging in sex for purposes other than having children in marriage.
So it is not forced, it is a voluntary decision devotees make, they decide they want to advance in spiritual life and understand illicit sex blocks this spiritual advancement, so they stop it.

C Padman 4 years agoExcellent video! I hope this video will remove many misconceptions about Hare Krishna. Every religion initially started as a cult and then expanded including Christianity and Islam. Hare Krishna is not a cult. It is part of Hinduism and is thousands of years old. You cannot make practicing a brand of Hinduism illegal in the USA.

Why would you prioritize a certain propaganda taste over the thousands of better tasting vegetarian food that you could use for nourishment without torturing and killing innocent animals?

Mark L 5 years agoI wouldn't call her an idiot. It's what she's used to. A lot of people like hamburgers. Just look at the fast food lines around town. Maybe the devotee was able to talk to her about it more off camera and, who knows, she might have changed her tune. We have to be careful about judging people too much. Remember what Krishna said in chapter 16 verse 2 of Bhagavad gita. We need to have an aversion to fault finding and have compassion for all living entities. Hare Krishna.- thumb_up — 4

But The Bhagavad Gita as it is translated by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is different, teaching about love of God - Krishna - who spoke Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna to explain to him spiritual science of acting without attachment to results and total surrender to higher power which is Krishna.
Devotees of Lord Krishna accept any form of Vishnu to be God - Rāma, Narasimha, Varahadev, Parasurama, Matsya, Kurma.... All are Vishnu tattva, all are the same supreme person in different forms.
Lord Shiva is depicted as the greatest Vaishnava in the Srimad Bhagavatam not as the supreme personality of God. Therefore Vaishnavas do not worship lord Shiva as God but as the greatest devotee of lord Vishnu. Which might be weird for Shaivites who consider lord Shiva to be Supreme Lord. There many stories of sincere Shaivites who worshipped lord Shiva and prayed for knowing the truth, then they met devotees of Krishna and became devotees of Krishna.

Sunil Agrawal 5 years agoRecently, I saw videos complaining that senior officials are cheating, abusing, raping and banning devotees. I urge them to do prayashchit and ask for forgiveness. Under no circumstances, they should not ban specially a devotee. If seniors or any devotee have sex desires, please get married. Please dont run the iskcon as commercial enterprise typically run by Christians or by democratic governments. Have a mechanism to resolve problems internally and amicably. Every devotee must be brave to accept their mistake instead of doing cover up. A lot of devotee have suffered and died to build iskcon and krishna, think twice before hurting fellow devotee.- thumb_up — 3

Krsna is God whether you want him to be or not. He is like a father he loves each and every one of us equally, however like all fathers do when their child is defiant he punishes them even though he doesnt want you to go through pain he has to because you wont learn from your mistakes. Sanatan Dharma doesnt have a founder because its the truth. There is no such thing as religion only the eternal truth which is Krsna.

Lord Caitanya taught that Krishna was the supreme lord, and service to Krishna was the goal of life. Your approval and understanding are not required. 😎
